Just wait, Citroën finally discovers the SUV: C3 Aircross since late 2017, C5 Aircross came in the last batch of Santa Claus. Their predecessors came straight from Mitsubishi: the C-Crosser (2007) came from an Outlander, the C4 Aircross (2012) of an ASX. This time, the PSA group remains in family: the C5 Aircross drew chassis, engines and boxes from his cousin Peugeot 3008.
Renault Kadjar and Citroën C5 Aircross are not on equal footing
A Peugeot 3008 whose scores remain across the throat of Renault dealers: 116,000 units released in France in 2018 with its long version 5008, against 35,000 Kajar / Koleos. In other words, three sales on one side for one another. Imagine a similar proportion between Clio and 208? No, impossible, because these two models fight on equal terms, having benefited from the same investments. Not 3008 and Kadjar. One is a white paper, the other has taken the general definition of the Nissan Qashqai with which it shares its platform.
 Kadjar: restyling, new engines

The entry into the C5 Aircross was not good news for Kadjar. So who took the lead by passing last autumn by the box restyling. It came out with a slightly modified front face (enlarged radiator grille, chromed fog lights) and above all an engine offering renewed almost completely: 1.7 dCi 150 (expected for May 2019) and 1.3 TCe 140/160 instead. 1.6 dCi 130, 1.2 TCe 130 and 1.6 TCe 165. Only survived the 1.5 dCi 110, with a power output of 115 hp. Here equipped with the TCe 160 and an automatic transmission EDC7 double clutch, the Kadjar can fully compete with the young C5 Aircross, in 180-horsepower petrol and EAT8 automatic gearbox.
